I retired from ICL in 1998 after 36 years in the IT industry.
Initially I worked part time with ICL, as a Fellow Emeritus, covering engineering, research issues and academic liaison. This however has now become a very nominal activity as ICL metamorphoses into a section of Fujitsu and I extended my leisure activities; see below.
I am also a Visiting Professor at the University of Southampton but this is going the way of my ICL activities.
I was the Chairman of the EPSRC IT&C Evaluation committee in 1998,1999 & 2000. I am on the EPSRC College and still regularly review research papers
